I have the Pro Varmint on the KRG chassis. I like some things about it and some things I dont. I have the Athlon HELOS BTR GEN2 4-20×50 optic. I have a Ultradyne Apollo max comp on the barrel that definitely helped groups from original. I reprofiled some SK Standard Plus from .980 over all length to .960 with a Waltz die. The ogive went from .224 stock to .2255. The gun, shooting 10 shot groups, were sub moa @ 100 consistently with many going through the same hole. I only brought 2 boxes of SK so I switched to Fed Auto Match for the 50 and stacked them. These were not reprofiled. I noticed right off that fliers and groups were reduced and smaller with that Ultradyne on it. I had a pretty interesting test day to say the least.

Why does the bolt handle on the Lilja barrel's action jump up after every shot?

Hello Josh it this the 600mm FX King? I was kinda wondering if pellets would fly well with that barrel or if one had to change it to the 500mm to achieve good pellet accuracy. Thanks for the video

Great shooting Josh. Hitting that 2" target from 200 yards is insane. I've got the same rifle. I also have the Yo Dave spring and I also have a bolt shim and a barrel tuner. I just got to a range that has a 4" steel plate at 200 yards. My MTR likes the Norma Tac-22. For being almost 70 years old I did ok using the Arkin 6X24 scope on the 4" target with a 4-6 mph wind. I really enjoy your videos with the CZ 457 MTR. Best rifle I own. Thanks. Keep up the great work!!!!

The batch available in the U.K. (3124-40022) is equally awful. It doesn’t group in any of my rifles. This stuff just doesn’t perform from 50m, 100yrds and beyond.

Absolutely no issues with mine. Running cheap blazer 22lr. Zeroed at 45 yards perfectly fine. No accuracy issues and no feeding problems what so ever

Hello, I would like to know what you think about the Lothar Walther Prefit CZ457 22LR barrels?

Have you shot this ammo comparison at 200 yards? Longer distances than that?

I shoot 25 and 50 yd benchrest in the UK but I couldn't do with ammo like that, I use RWS R50 and for me it works brilliantly. We have rim gauged many types of ammo and R50 have least variations, Eley match the next, but some of the cheaper stuff can vary from .95 mm to 1.5 mm.

I dont like the way that Vudu bolt hangs up. You are always smooth in your cycling but for what you pay for a gun like that I would expect it to be butter smooth.

How many rounds do you have through that? I had the choice between PP and EABCO for the same price. I chose the later. I have about 500 through it and it seems to be getting better the more I shoot. It definitely shoots better than my stock barrel. I have been shooting garbage ammo through it until last weekend. Ran some SK Standard plus and Eley Match through it. Shot 10 rds MOA at 100.

Hey there. Im a lefty. Looking at the CZ Varmit because its available on left hand but the MTR is not. Is anyone familiar with what the differences are other than the stock ?

Salut Josh, I appreciate that any comments on your appearance are considered inappropriate by many …… however that beard is beginning to dominate rather than supplement your image. Having been a bearded male from the day I left school some 60+ years ago, and had all manner of beard styles myself, I think a beard can add so much as an enhancement feature. En France they might describe your beard as “rustique”, which is a diplomatic comment to avoid an insult ….. but hey you are still so very young, wisdom only comes with time and experience! I'm in NC. Very new to this have a ton of questions but I don't want to drive you crazy ! I understand about high quality built rifles, triggers, and scopes that is not a problem. I'm talking about building it. Like that CZ, Tikka, and maybe a few more. If possible how can I get the information to have a good understanding about barrels, where to buy and get chambered, how to get the measurements for a prefit barrel, what if anything should be done to making the receiver it's best and same with the bolt ? You need to talk Feddersen into releasing a CZ 457 drop in. Their 10/22 barrels are amazing for $160 bucks. Great video series, one question is the barrel any better than the factory MTR really?

My Pillar Barrel likes the Eley also. Other ammo has shown promise but not as consistent. I'm going to try a tuner and see if that helps.

Team did well today. I had crossed Team off my list, but maybe I need to revisit Team.

There is an Eley recall on this ammo. It appears to shoot well in Europe.

Josh, so at this point your advise is to stay in good graces with Jonathan from Modocam Custom Rifles and with Angie from Lilja Barrels. The Mullerworks from MODACAM Custom Rifles for the 1.180" diameter Mullerworks CZ 457 barrel is $860 shipped. The wait time is October for both Mullerworks and Lilja.. Lilja is shipping the 1" diameter CZ 457 26" barrels in October. Are any of this barrels for top accuracy equally as good? Please advise. Because the Lilja 26" barrel is $600 shipped while the Mullerworks is $860 shipped. Thanks for your advise.
